This short little road trip on Highway 59 is a beautiful scenic route. Portions of this route are part of the Lewis and Clarke trail as designated by the historical markers. Half way to Weston is the The Riverwood Winery. This winery is in an old schoolhouse full of history. The wines are all locally made and provides a unique stop in the Pony Express Region. Along this route, the Lewis and Clark State Park also makes for an excellent stop. There are picnic areas and walking trails around the lake. Heading into Weston, Pirtle Winery Pirtle Winery is the premium wine in the Northwest Region. This winery is located in an old church, and has a beautiful outside patio area to enjoy a bottle of wine and their cheese board lunch. Take time to enjoy the many other Weston attractions.
